An interview with Agnès Maur, I come from a provincial family but then I lived in Paris for a few years, then abroad, and then I moved back to Paris again.
I moved back to Paris 13 years ago.
I had read an article about the job of being a ‘flat hunter’, and I thought to myself that it seemed like an excellent service for those who were trying to buy an apartment. And soon after that, I applied to Flat Hunter.
Because I’ve always enjoyed moving to a new apartment, I’ve moved so many times during my life and I love to visit and discover new neighbourhoods.
I enjoy the direct contact with clients who know what they want, and I enjoy waking up and never knowing what I’m going to discover during my day!
A search expert has to sort through all the properties on the market to find the ones that correspond to the requirements of their client.
It depends on the neighbourhood that I need to get to, but I usually use the metro or bus, or get around by bicycle or by car.
Paris is a melting pot of people, all of whom are in Paris for different reasons: for work, to study, as tourists, those who need a pied à terre, and other reasons besides!
Once, I had some clients who signed with Flat Hunter at midday, then at 3pm I visited an apartment, and then at 7pm they made an offer for that apartment! Probably the fastest offer of the century! Also, I remember once when there were two Flat Hunter clients trying to buy the same apartment! But thanks to the good relations between Flat Hunter search experts, a solution with which both clients were satisfied was reached within 24 hours!
Don’t wait to have looked at another 20 apartments before you make an offer on that apartment that you fell in love with at first sight! Buyers always end up regretting the apartments that they let get away, and it takes them a long time to forget that.
I like to cook, do DIY, go shopping and go to the theatre or the cinema.
