Flat Hunter finds the best properties for buyers across a wide price range, both in Paris and its suburbs, as well as throughout the French countryside.
Whatever your search - something out of the ordinary, the right investment property, a gem in the rough, or a simple place to hang your hat - we can help. Finding the best match for your needs is difficult for whatever search criteria, because the best is always in demand and in the current market it sells quickly; often even before it is publicly advertised. Moreover, because there is no market-wide database of properties for sale (like the multiple listing system in the United States), even finding the properties by searching the numerous print and Internet resources is an almost unmanageable task.

You get what you want our proprietary relationships with estate agents, property managers, and other property sources gives our clients preferential access to the best properties on the market. Flat Hunter never shares from the commission of the seller·s agent so we are neutral as to who you buy from, and we remain a repeat, and therefore preferred, buyer to many of the property agents and dealers around.
Who do we work for?
Our clients are French, American, British, Irish, German, Dutch, Canadian, Spanish, Chinese, Lebanese, Zambian, South African. And not in that order.
In Paris, most of our clients have a budget of at least 250,000 euros, which is the current minimum for a well-situated one-bedroom apartment in the city. In the surrounding suburbs and French countryside we work with a range of buyers, from farmhouse fixer-uppers to a second home near the sea.
Who are these buyers? Contrary to popular assumption, over 80% of our clients are French, most often already residents in the place where they want to buy, and sometimes looking to repatriate back to France from elsewhere. The rest of our clients are international, often non-French speaking, looking to Flat Hunter to guide them through the unfamiliar French property market and purchase process. The common denominator is that our clients are busy, demanding and looking for exceptional service. Over 50% of our clients come to us on the recommendation of a past client. We work for both individual clients and companies, looking to buy property for their own use or investment purposes.
How are we different?
Other buyers agents say they provide the same service, but that is not our experience or the experience of the many clients who have come to us after a frustrating experience elsewhere.
Individuals search agents are restricted by the limits of a single pair of hands; and many companies are not independent but instead the buying-arm of an estate agent. Moreover, many buyer services cater to international clientele which usually means entirely ignoring the substantial market of private sales, finding properties through a limited number of agents, and presenting properties at prices higher than the market for local buyers.
Flat Hunter is the oldest and most experienced buyers agent in Paris and the first to provide comprehensive property search services throughout France. Flat Hunter was the brainchild of a frustrated real estate agent frustrated at being unable to provide real service for buyers, and at a market holding buyers captive to its lack of visibility, and accurate, complete information. Modeled after such services abroad, we remain the market leader in our field, with intimate knowledge of the property market, extensive contacts and primary access to the best properties, and an unwavering commitment to quality and service.
